Normal players hate them, perhaps out of envy, but they’re inevitably there. So why do people bot in Aion?

There are various reasons as to why people use bots in Aion. There’s two types of botters; those who bot to gain levels and those who bot to farm Kinah. Most likely if the botters’ name is Asdadeaffew or PorkFriedRice then blatantly it is most likely a Chinese farmer just trying to make a living.

Here are the different types of botters broken down:

Disabled Botters
Those who have repetitive strain injuries and cannot afford the constant keybashing and mouse clicking on their hands and wrists.

Unfortunate botters who have to go to Work or School
There are those who are unfortunate enough to go to work or school. To keep up with the pros of Aion, one cannot allow time consumed by these daily burdens, and let the bot take over.

Lazy Botters
The botters that are just lazy and want to watch TV while their bot grinds.

Botting for Rice
The Chinese farmers are spread in Aion, like many MMORPGs, like rabbits. They sell the Aion Kinah that they’ve earned for real life money. This is because the Chinese can actual afford a decent living by selling game gold to you in western currencies. Don’t hate.

If you can’t beat them, join them Botters
Well, if you can’t beat them, join them – as the saying goes. Why bother spending most of your time trying to grind levels and Kinah when you can just automate it – the tools are there, why miss out?

I’m sure everyone has their reasons, but why do we play Aion in the first place? It’s a sense of achievement. It’s the same for most botters – some want the achievement of becoming the best and others sense the achievement of waking up in the morning and finding a storage full of goodies and new levels gained while they slept.
